Music

In Music, pupils develop their rhythm and vocal control, as well as the interrelated dimensions of music and musical notations, across the phases using the Active Music Digital programme of study. As they progress through the school the children have many opportunities to listen to, review and evaluate music across a range of historical periods, genres, styles and traditions, including the works of the great composers and musicians.  They take part in a range of musical and singing performances including productions, the IPAT singing celebrations and Young Voices. In Key Stage 2, the children learn a musical instrument through the Whole Class Ensemble tuition provided by Leicestershire Schools Music Service.
