We follow the Leicestershire Agreed Syllabus scheme throughout the school. This provides a broad and balanced programme of RE and develops an understanding of the beliefs of others. It is covered under three key headings:

• Believing - Religious beliefs, teachings, sources; questions about meaning, purpose and truth

• Expressing - Religious and spiritual forms of expression,questions about identity and diversity

• Living - Religious practices and ways of living, questions about values and commitment

Each of these will be explored in age appropriate ways within Christianity, Hinduism and other key religions represented in the local area. Children have opportunities to think about and discuss some of the big questions of life and consider and compare their own beliefs and experiences with those of others. We have close links with the village church and, when it is possible to do so, children will also have the opportunity to visit different places of worship as they go through the school.
