Dunton Bassett Primary School PTA is a non-profit voluntary group - our main aim is to fundraise for the school so we can provide new and improved resources and facilities for our pupils, which would not usually be provided or covered by the Local Authority. In order to achieve this, we run a number of events - for the whole school throughout the year. We strive to build on the ethos of the ’school family’.
The second half of the year is generally busiest - with usual events in previous years being a Halloween disco, Craft fair, Breakfast with Santa and a Christmas Fair. The summer months allow time for the family BBQ and summer fair as well as PTA support to the Sports Day.
This year, we have funded Chromebooks, so that children have a machine each in lessons; a fabulous position to be in for our school!
This year's fund raising aim is to provide engaging, comfortable, enticing 'Reading Corners' in each classroom, a space for children to get comfy and get lost in a book!
